This artwork belongs to the Form Collection. Pieces in this collection are crafted akin to composing a letter: painting from left to right and top to bottom. Each artwork in this series features rows of figures. I experiment with the negative space between each figure, giving space for the figure to stretch and move. In this 40x60 painting, I aimed to amplify its scale by painting figures much smaller.
Materials:
The materials chosen for the original artwork have been meticulously selected and undergone more than ten years of experimentation and creation.
Acrylic paintings are done with Golden Heavy Body Acrylics. This type of paint has been offered since 1980 and is known for its intense color and rich consistency. Golden Artist Colors’ headquarters and factory are located in New Berlin, New York. Fun fact: this company is employee owned and the paints are safe to use around our precious fur friends, such as Olive.
